          16 Blocks
16 Blocks - 1 DVD - 102 Minutes Episodes - DVD Street Release Date: June 13, 2006 - (Widescreen) Directed by Richard Donner (SUPERMAN, LETHAL WEAPON), 16 BLOCKS is a tale of corrupt police officers, a Grand Jury witness, and one cop who is trying to do the right thing. Jack Mosley (Bruce Willis) is weary. A lame leg and a love affair with alcohol make him a virtual joke at the NYPD. Tired and ready to head home, Mosley is assigned one last job before he can punch out: pick up petty thief Eddie Bunker (Mos Def) in lock-up and transport him to the courthouse where he is set to testify before the Grand Jury. Only 16 New York City blocks separate the two, but it might as well be a million miles. Soon, the officer and his charge find themselves under fire, becoming the target of someone who wants to keep Bunker from testifying. Escaping the initial attack, Mosley calls for backup only to discover that corrupt police officers, including his ex-partner Frank Nugent (David Morse), want Bunker out of the picture. Mosley surprises everyone--maybe even himself--by doing the right thing and saving Bunker from certain death. With only 118 minutes to get the witness to the courthouse before the case will be thrown out, Mosley pulls out every trick in the book. He maneuvers Bunker through the crowded, confined streets of Manhattan?s Chinatown towards their destination, trying to avoid the police officers who are hunting them down as they race against time. Willis fully inhabits Mosley, a washed-up cop who is haunted by his past decisions, and Mos Def is right on target as Bunker, a chatty career criminal being hunted just as he is ready to turn his life around and make something of himself. - Director(s): Richard Donner Producer(s): Jim Van Wyck Avi Lerner Randall Emmett John Thompson George Furla Hadeel Reda Derek Hoffman Cast: Bruce Willis Mos Def David Morse Cylk Cozart Misc Cast: Richard Wenk Arnold Rifkin Dan Dimbort Trevor Short Boaz Davidson Glen MacPherson Klaus Badelt / dvdTVshows.com status: In Stock Item.           Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians
Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians - 1 DVD - 100 Minutes - 1 Episodes - DVD Street Release Date: March 14, 2006 - dvdtvshows.com status: Special Order, may be ordered now. Please allow an additional 3 days for delivery. - Ten Little Indians, the classic mystery by Agatha Christie, is again adapted, with enjoyable results. The setting of the now familiar mystery is moved to Africa, where the ten guests of a mysterious host are killed one by one as they travel on safari. None of the guests, played with great fun by a cast including Donald Pleasence, Brenda Vaccaro, Frank Stallone and Herbert Lom, know why they have been invited, but as they begin to be murdered, one by one, they fear for their safety and begin to suspect each other. The ending of this wonderful mystery should never be divulged, and the story remains surprisingly fresh despite its many adaptations. This film, while only average, remains highly enjoyable because of the charm and surprise of Christie's wonderful plot and great surprise ending. – Quote from Linda Rasmussen, All Movie Guide / Cast: Donald Pleasence as Justice Wargrave ; Frank Stallone as Capt. Philip Lombard ; Sarah Maur-Thorp as Vera Claythorne ; Herbert Lom as Gen. Romensky ; Brenda Vaccaro as Marion Marshall ; Warren Berlinger as Mr. Blore ; Yehuda Efroni as Dr. Hans Werner ; Paul L. Smith as Elmo Rodgers ; Moira Lister as Ethel Rodgers ; Neil McCarthy as Anthony Marston / From 1989 / Rated PG / *** Parental Advisory – Profanity, Adult Situations, Violence – Questionable for children. *** /

          Big Sleep
Big Sleep - 1 DVD - 230 Minutes Episodes - DVD Street Release Date: July 25, 2006 - Chandlers first novel introduced private detective Philip Marlowe, and THE BIG SLEEP set the standard for private detective movies. Down-at-the-heels private eye Marlowe gets the assignment to clean up after the daughters of a dying millionaire, but dead people have a nasty habit of trailing in their wake. The famously tortuous story line (Hawks supposedly asked Chandler to clarify a plot point about the murder of the family chauffeur; the novelist hadnt a clue as to who did the deed) seems beside the point when Bogart and Bacall are onscreen. The final release was recut to include more of their scenes together. A must! Remade in 1978. - Director(s): Howard Hawks Producer(s): Howard Hawks Cast: Humphrey Bogart Lauren Bacall Dorothy Malone John Ridgely Louis Jean Heydt Elisha Cook Regis Toomey Sonia Darrin Bob Steele Martha Vickers Tom Rafferty Charles Waldron Charles D. Brown Peggy Knudsen Misc Cast: William Faulkner Jules Furthman Leigh Brackett Raymond Chandler Sidney Hickox Christian Nyby Carl Jules Weyl Max Steiner / dvdTVshows.com status: In Stock Item. Chase - 1 DVD - 84 Minutes - Episodes - DVD Street Release Date: Jule 22, 2003 - dvdtvshows.com status: Special Order, may be ordered now. Please allow an additional 3 days for delivery. - Originally slated for release through Monogram Pictures, The Chase was ultimately distributed by United Artists. Adapted by Philip Yordan from Cornell Woolrich's The Black Path of Fear (a perennial of the radio series Suspense), the film stars Robert Cummings as Chuck, shell-shocked ex-GI. Tormented by bizarre dreams, Chuck is drawn into the orbit of racketeer Roman (Steve Cochran). Persuaded by Lorna to help her escape the brutish Roman, Chuck agrees, only to end up accused of a murder he didn't commit. Thus begins the chase of the title, with Chuck eluding not only the authorities but also the stiletto-wielding Gino. Just when it seems that Chuck has cleared himself and all's right with the world, the story takes an unexpected turn, thrusting the hero back into a nightmarish maelstrom. – Quote from Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide / From 1946 / In Black and White / Film Noir – Not suitable for children. /
